I apologize, but was too busy all day yesterday and today to write up more about the Lake Ontario Loop. In its place please enjoy many pictures of fireworks, from the 3rd and 4th of July.

The unexpected superstar of home fireworks this year, something bunnyhugger picked up at Meijer's. Do you get it?

The park where bunnyhugger, her father, and I set up our chairs to watch the city's fireworks.

Hey, do you see that? A firefly! There were a lot of fireflies and we made many attempts to photograph one while lit.

Here's the other photograph of a lit firefly that came out at all. Call that coming out.

The city fireworks getting going, over the water.

And a bit from the grand finale. This year I accepted that all firework show photos look about the same so I could just take ones that seemed particularly nice.

More of the at-home fireworks, this from the sets that bunnyhugger's father bought. Squash was one of particular fascination, as a name, for us.

Not sure if this is Squash, but it is bunnyhugger's father posing for the album cover.

Or maybe this is the better album cover. I really like the halo of light around her father here.

Some of the fireworks get very visually busy!

``When it's the grand finale, you'll know.''

The next day, the actual 4th of July, we went to this park in walking distance to watch the city's fireworks. .. .Wherever they are.

Oh, there they are! Although there were fireworks rising above the tree line in pretty near every direction we looked.
