Moons and Junes and Ferris wheels the dizzy dancing way you feel
Another quiet day so let's see Michigan's Adventure from a viewpoint I haven't shared in years.

The Giant Wheel, the park's Ferris wheel, seen from below. Do you see the detail that would drive bunnyhugger's father crazy if he saw it?

There it is: the center badge with the park's wordmark is --- as is common to most parks with this model Ferris wheel --- a bit off level, tilted clockwise, as though it's in the middle of turning. He would hate that.

We took a rare ride on the Ferris wheel. I really like the brick face of the queue area --- it's unusually solid for the park --- and am amused that there's the spot marked out for the trash bin, but no trash bin there, but there's still soem trash left over there.

And here we are, up in the air and looking out toward Thunderhawk (the red coaster) and Wolverine Wildcat (the wooden coaster to the right of Thunderhawk)

And looking to the right of that you see the Logger's Run log flume and behind that the Shivering Timbers roller coaster. And, to the right of that, the ample parking lot.

Mad Mouse seen from above and more parking lot. The farther areas are Preferred Parking, costing more money, as if you needed a shorter walk.

Peering down at that midway and that new bathroom I was telling you about, on the left. In the center you can see the current entrance to the park, or at least where they fenced it off to have people go through a metal detector without taking the keys out of their pockets.

Looking through the Ferris wheel for that nice maze of girders look. To its left is the Corkscrew and you can see some of hte looping there.

Different and maybe better view of the Logger's Run and some of the floral areas. In the lower right corner is the petting zoo section.

Hey, there's Mad Mouse, running a test car again!

You know, this door seemed more secure a barrier before I got a good solid look at the warnings on it. [ Edited to add: Oh, and I forgot to point out what probably most moved me to take picture, the near-miss on spelling 'supervising' there! ]

Took this photo blind, putting the camera over my shoulder and hoping. So the roller coasters are, left to right, Corkscrew, Thunderhawk, and Wolverine Wildcat. The flat rides are the Lakeside Gliders (center) and the Sea Dragon swinging ship (right).
