Time after time

You know what we got to do closing day at Michigan's Adventure? Play miniature golf. But not just miniature golf ... it's also ...

SAM_2138.jpeg

Ghoulish Golf! They gave the golf course a little Halloween-themed makeover. Note the skeleton strapped to the water wheel.

SAM_2141.jpeg

And you can see, the water wheel's still turning, so all skeleton's marrow is rushing to their skull, half the time.

SAM_2142.jpeg

Some of the decoration was just putting up straw bales and pumpkins, which is functional enough.

SAM_2143.jpeg

Here's a view from the miniature golf to Corkscrew, and more of the autumn colors.

SAM_2145.jpeg

[personal profile] bunnyhugger strolls onto the course, and you can see a gourd-themed ... hog? Something anyway. Part of the decor.

SAM_2146.jpeg

Other people were in costume too and it was fun seeing them. And again I like the pumpkin-shaped dog(?) statue.

SAM_2150.jpeg

Gourdy birds too, here.

SAM_2153.jpeg

Oh hey, they had a couple of these weird plant flower thingies, they look great!

SAM_2154.jpeg

[personal profile] bunnyhugger pauses to write down our scores a bit ...

SAM_2156.jpeg

... And now she investigates these curious alien-looking plants. Wonder what she'll find?

SAM_2157.jpeg

Oh, dear, I guess she's gotten eaten. That's so embarrassing!

SAM_2161.jpeg

Over out here there's a swan boat that sank and took its skeleton passenger with it.

Trivia: In 1906 Texas inventor Uberto Ezell received a patent for a rubber ``male pouch'', described as a device to ``catch and retain all discharges coming'' from the ``male member''. By not describing it as a condom he evaded the Comstock law's rule against contraceptives. Source: Smuggler Nation: How Illicit Trade Made America, Peter Andreas.
