Oh, the clerk may be used to it, but I still feel like I'm being excessively difficult when I want too much modified from the standard ``here's my items, here's my coupon/s, here's my payment method'' flow of things. And yeah, you can look at coupons and gift cards as fitting the ``coupon'' slot in that sequence, but I tend to think of there being a natural one-coupon-per-item limit, so that three coupons (or whatever it was) plus two gift cards had the sole iPad dangerously overloaded.

At that, though, the clerk tried to sell me on the extended warranty that'd be more expensive and shorter-lived than AppleCare protection would be.
