I'm surprised that a globetrotter like you wouldn't have found a way to get back to Efteling since then, although I'm also surprised now that I haven't heard more about the park, particularly in those Travel Channel-class shows where they list the awesomest places to ride a tilt-a-whirl (or more seriously, roller coasters; admittedly, Efteling's aren't particularly fast or tall, the breed types for that sort of show, but there must be programs that do amusement park landscaping or dark rides or the like and it excels in those).
Given the (as best we could tell) lack of prominent advertising or signs warning that one's approaching Efteling, the effect of driving through this town and finding a huge amusement park in the middle of it must be particularly magical when you're growing up.
Sad to say, we didn't get any of the ride photos (and we wouldn't cheat by taking photos of the monitors), so we can't present examples of that. Maybe in a future amusement park trip we'll get a ride photo; they look stunningly similar, whatever the ride is.
