Or better still just don't install the idiotic thing at all

So there's two DVD/music stores in the mall where I often stop just before yoga class --- it's pretty nearby and I usually have twenty minutes or so to spare --- and they're simultaneously closing. They're one of those things where the same company runs two fronts under different names so as to fool nobody. And Corporate Headquarters has decided apparently that since there's not enough demand for an FYE and a Saturday Matinee video store in the same mall they're just going to close them both and we can do our shopping in other malls as few as 25 minutes away if the traffic isn't heavy. Or just go to Best Buy, I guess, which is at least as easy.

I don't know exactly when their last day is, but the shelves are just starting to contract from the extremities of both stores, and the discounts are only at the 20-to-60-percent-off range, with a charming dump box near the front of the FYE promising half-price for anything with a price ending 97 cents. This suggests commercial retailers have no interest in dealing with Russell's Paradox and I can't blame them.

Anyway, the discounts are getting hefty enough that I figure I ought to take advantage. With the coming inevitable era of streaming maybe I don't need the Complete Get Smart box set, but I kind of do. Still, I'd be open to suggestions for DVDs or CDs to pick up while the getting is so good. I don't promise to pick up everything (or anything) suggested here, and the selection is going to be catch-as-catch-can, but I'd like to hear about things I wouldn't have thought of on my own.
