Another edition of ``Pay The Rent'' got played on The Price Is Right for Tuesday. I may as well given to just recording whatever it is I can figure out to record about these, since that's obviously the way I'm going anyway.

This installment hte prizes were: cappuccino mix ($3.99), a Duraflame log ($5.29), dog food ($1.39), cereal ($3.49) (Kix, to be specific, although the show used the slogan without naming it, reflecting some status of sponsorship I don't begin to understand), foam plates ($1.99), and potatoes ready for the mix ($2.29).

The contestant picked foam plates for the first level ($1.99), and then the potatoes and Kix for the second ($5.78 for the level), and should have bailed out there. But with the dog food and cappuccino for the third level ($5.38) the five thousand dollars on offer was lost. The Duraflame log at least meant the top level was right ($5.29).

Once again I can only find one correct sequence. That's the cappuccino on the first level ($3.99); foam plates and potato mix ($4.28); cereal and dog food ($4.88); and Duraflame ($5.29). I think the preponderance of evidence is that the one time there were two valid arrangements was a fluke.

The range of prices was $3.90 (previous ranges this season, $10.00 and $3.70); the range of levels was a tighter $1.30 (previous ranges, $4.00 and $1.50). It's getting tougher.
