And when the sun comes up I'll be on top

For those who've had about enough of The Perils of Pauline, never fear; that story's over. And I do mean to get back from my prewritten pop-culture things and back into recounting the events of my life. I had figured there wasn't going to be much time for me to write out the events of my days while I was living my honeymoon --- I barely had time for the Friday humor pieces --- and there's no way I could have thought of twelve topics of actual meaningful personal content to preload, so I went with the nice neat serial review instead.

So I should get back from pop culture to actual life soon. For a little taste of the things that did go on: we got rained on. A lot. I believe that from the 6th to the 20th of July we got rained on at least some part of twelve days. This would range from mild inconveniences, like making it chillier than I'd really like ambling around Amsterdam, to actual nuisances, like it being 12 degrees Fahrenheit with 80-mile-per-hour winds as ice rain penetrates our skin at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. bunny_hugger will tell you I exaggerate, but she will also tell you, I'm not exaggerating.

We got home safe and sound, of course, although in the immediate aftermath we've had several friends including rcoony and a couple people from spindizzy_muck as guests. This too is fun, particularly as it turns out I haven't seen rcoony in person in several more years than I realized and he hadn't seen me in my non-fat body form. That'll be our nice capper to the honeymoon story. And my new situation at work has called on me to actually do work remotely, so I have that part proved out a little better. Next up will come visiting back for a couple workdays.
