Failed to make another four-post week in my mathematics blog. Just ran out of stuff to talk about Saturday plus we were busy preparing for our guest rabbit. If you didn't have enough of this on your RSS feed please give this some consideration:

And in story strips? What's Going On In The Amazing Spider-Man? And Is Any Part Of It Not Great? December 2017 - March 2018 No. It is all fabulous.

So after a brief bunny-induced delay here's some further gathering around after the Fursuit Parade.

Always a treat: someone who's blending fursuiting and puppeteering together.

And finally the group photo gets under way. I couldn't find [profile] bunny_hugger and it turns out that nobody gave her any hint that the fursuiters were going around back; she returned to her room thinking there was no group photo that year and was inconsolable to learn there was and she hadn't been in it. I'm not sure I should bring it up even now, but that's why she isn't in the picture here.

Photographers lined up, ready to charge at the fursuiters.

Oh dear. ... Also that seems like a lot of task chairs to have thrown out simultaneously even though it's only two.

Trivia: The Languedoc parliament in 1471 persuaded French King Louis XI, and in 1484 King Charles VIII, to prohibit the import by land of spices into France, meant to limit the expansion of the economic might of Lyons. Source: Gold and Spices: The Rise of Commerce in the Middle Ages, Jean Favier.

Currently Reading: A History of Reading, Alberto Manguel. So this is one of those books I picked up because it was on the shelf near where the book I wanted should have been and the title looked good. And it's also one of those books where I knew within three pages this was going to be a fantastic book, all written from a perspective I didn't expect but that read as inevitable and insightful. One of those really, really happy books.
