So to get unemployment Michigan demanded that I register with and upload my resume to their job placement service. All right. Today, I got an e-mail from someone who, on ``viewing your profile [ ... ] feel you may be a good candidate for a position within our company''. The company is a senior care center. The positions they have:
- Cook Second Shift
- Dietary Aide Second shift
- CNA Second and Third Shifts
- Resident Assistant Second and Third Shifts
- RN / LPN / Grad Nurse ALL Shifts
- RN Unit Manager
- Social Services Director
I'm tempted to call their bluff and put in for an interview just to ask them what role, precisely, they think a mathematics PhD with a decade and a half of time screwing around with web sites, databases, and geographic information services is a good match for.

And the color-shifting LEDs are back on the tree! Last year's tree didn't color-shift and we don't know for sure whether they didn't use the color-shifting lights from 2019 or if they just set them to hold a color.
