Here's the last four things published on my mathematics blog, for those wondering what that's looked like recently.

Seem enough of the neighborhood? I'll tell you when you've seen enough of the neighborhood, thank you. Enjoy some decorations!

House with some nice decorated bushes on either side of the front steps, and the path down the driveway. Also a Climate Action Now sign, one of a fair number in the neighborhood.

Here's just a small illuminated Santa hanging outside someone's porch.

SAM_7608.jpg

Another porch with spiral-wound lights up its columns.

And someone who's decorated the slender tree on their extension.

SAM_7610.jpg

Nice little house with a decorated tree too.

And here a pedestrian crossing sign has attempted to cross a lawn, leading it to this sad, failed condition.

Trivia: In the 16th century workers in England's coal ships would demand additional wages during time of war, to cover the risk of being pressed into the Navy. Source: Coal: A Human History, Barbara Freese.
