I'll get to reporting on events soon. I'm finding it an adjustment to have eight solid hours occupied away from screwing around on the Internet. So here let me close out pictures of Halloweekends Saturday, incredibly:

The start of the Gemini midway, at least past the new restaurant they built. Monster on the right there would end up being our final ride for the season.

Matterhorn, photographed from the side and behind, from the line for Corkscrew. I kept forgetting to look up whether the ride was being moved as part of the The Boardwalk renovations so took a few photographs just in case.

Matterhorn's queue looks just lovely with the grass this well night-lit and all those leaves on the ground.

Oh, yeah, this Coke Freestyle booth --- one of many that were closed the whole weekend --- is underneath stands where people could watch Top Thrill Dragster going. So it seems likely to be renovated as part of the Top Thrill Dragster changes, though who can say how? Seems likely to stay a drinks place, though.

View of Corkscrew's station from the stairs leading up to it. I like the sense of imminent action you get from this angle.

Meanwhile, back in the night, is the queue area that seems excessive for the ride now, but you never know when a Columbus Day crowd is going to turn up. Way in the background is the Hotel Breakers.

And here we are, ready to get on Corkscrew in ... uh ... two ride cycles from now.

Our last ride for the night was Millennium Force which you can dimly see here spent a half-hour or so just stopped while some unexplained-to-us-of-course issue was dealt with. All three trains are lined up here, with one in the departure station, one in the return station, and one on the brake run before the station; that's the one at the far left of the photo.

But our wait was rewarded! And we got a nice, near-midnight ride on a breathtaking and delightful steel coaster.
