Trivia: William Randolph Hearst discontinued the overseas edition of the Hearst Metrotone the 1st of January, 1968 (a month after the domestic edition ended). Variety alleged that this was when the United States Information Agency withdrew its secret financial support, channeled in a project codenamed ``Kingfish''.
