Busy today with Pinball At The Zoo 2024, story to come, so let's see if we can get lucky with pictures of the Calhoun County Fair picture today:

Now we're getting into the good lighting hours, where the Zipper and the Nuf Edils can stand out.

Here's the Zipper at rest, ready for loading and unloading passengers at bottom. ... Someday we'll have to ride it so we never have to ride it again.

Not sure how many of these lights are off because I caught it in the middle of an effect and how many are off because the Zipper has a lot of burned-out bulbs.

And here's the merry-go-round, chunky but still fast, by twilight.

And there's the band organ, back for another performance this year.

The bandleader looks to be in great shape. I don't know why Harry Dinkle looks the way he does instead.

Wurlitzer scrolls. I don't know if they have any actual purpose or if they're simply decoration; my understanding is an organ like this is programmed by MIDI these days.

Every year I take photos of the titles in the hopes that later I can make out what they are and maybe listen to the songs, and every year the picture comes out like this.

Sign explaining the band organ, which is a pretty good-looking one.

Looking back at the rides as a diagonal line of cloud moves across the sky.

Back to the animal exhibits; here's some naked sheep.

I feel like this goat wants a word with my manager.
