Now another dozen Anthrohio Friday pictures that actually closes out the day. I was still at the point of resolving to take fewer but more distinctive pictures and I'm trying to share only the better ones. Don't worry, that resolve goes out the window by Sunday. Here goes:

Ah, do you see what's going on here, out back of the hotel? I'll give you a hint ...

SAM_6495.jpeg

Yes, there's only one reason that someone would drive a car from New Jersey to Ohio and drape a towel and short jeans across the front.

SAM_6501.jpeg

Yes, it's car-hiding days here at Anthrohio! This is going to lead interesting places, just you wait.

SAM_6504.jpeg

Back inside now. Looks like we've got some hyena content.

SAM_6510.jpeg

On to the Avians SIG! [personal profile] bunnyhugger appeared in peacock kigurumi, and the event provided popcorn and plastic eggs.

SAM_6515.jpeg

Couple of birds hamming it up for the picture-takers.

SAM_6521.jpeg

And a group photo of the bird suiters. [personal profile] bunnyhugger felt a kigurumi didn't qualify her to appear.

SAM_6528.jpeg

Out the back of the hotel, by the grease truck, as twilight arrives. I like the moodiness of the colors and particularly the shadows here.

SAM_6531.jpeg

And now back to the mammals hanging around waving at each other.

SAM_6533.jpeg

Someone approaching this AI detector thingy that they set up every convention where people can get pictures of themselves and a hilariously wrong guess that the machine is like 64% confident about.

SAM_6536.jpeg

Dance party already? Dance party already. Here I catch Velveteen in a rare moment of the lights being bright enough to see anything!

SAM_6543.jpeg

And here's what the dance looked like the rest of the time. LEDs have really opened up the possibility of folks having illuminated heads.

Trivia: The London Coal Exchange building opened in 1849 was designed by architect J D Bunning, and featured a domed inner court of articulated cast iron and glass. Source: The Age of Paradox: A Biography of England 1841 - 1851, John W Dodds. The Coal Exchange itself closed after nationalization, and the building demolished in 1962 for a road expansion.
