I've taken the first one in the past, but I haven't had much reason to prefer one version or another either. (And it's only the 2005 and 2009 licenses that gave me the option; before that we had film pictures yet.) For my Singapore photos they actually accepted the results of one of those four-photos-a-dollar booths that were on campus, so while I had film pictures there I had four to choose from. (And it was actually S$5 anyway.)
