Could be. I wouldn't think the newspapers would run that much about something if people didn't like it, but, heck, they run Hi and Lois apparently on purpose too.
My mother and her college friends liked playing what they called bridge, but on taking bridge classes during a cruise they learned they were just doing random shuffling around of cards while drinking all this time.
