In case you want to know what the actual temperature was -- Austin's devotion to hyperbole does mean his posts can sometimes be less than informative on actual details -- I think the day we were at BPB, it was about 55F, with a bone-chillingly cold rain. It was what we would consider October weather at home. I had warned Austin about this, having experienced in last time I was in England in August, and he didn't listen to me. For much of the trip I had to worry about whether he was too cold to enjoy whatever we were doing, because he would have gooseflesh all over his uncovered arms (these were on days when most people we passed on the street were wearing jackets) and his fingernails would be blue, but he would stubbornly insist he was fine.
