The whole thing naturally reminded me of the freelance snake I saw once slithering about in the Singapore Zoo. It --- and some squirrels --- were that odd bit of actual nature in a place designed to bring people close to nature without quite touching the real thing and so drew disproportionate attention. (Of course, an amusement park isn't exactly designed to get people in touch with nature, generally.)
