And now, pictures of the results of some pinball league finals:

[livejournal.com profile] bunny_hugger taking first place in the B Division playoffs at Marvin's Marvellous Mechanical Museum. Also depicted: MWS, in the middle there, in A division. Yes, those are animatronic crows from Chuck-E-Cheese's in the top center of the picture.

[livejournal.com profile] bunny_hugger with the third-place trophy in B Division for Lansing League. She was robbed of at least second place. Terrible story.

What I got in Lansing League playoffs. I'm content with it.

Thank you. I was starting to worry people were just bored with the pictures too.

I'm surprised also you didn't have any comment on the crow singers ... well, no accounting for tastes.

I did actually have some comments I guess... but I didn't wanna inundate you :>

The crows look super cool... but I wondered are they in a current show that can be seen there? They are a bit small in the picture so I can't see them too well. Also got a lol about the ribbon in the final picture... who knew they even made them ribbons! ... Some might say them's fightin' words!.... (although generally taken in the joking spirit it was intended... hopefully)... heh.... although seems like every time I go to a Christmas secret santa gift exchange, most of it is playful... but inevitably someone gets too serious and upset when they lose their chosen gift... so... sometimes a fraction of people don't take things in stride.... All that said.. LOL!... Glad the event was fun, no matter how it ended, a fun ride!

The old Chuck E. Cheese's animatronics are, unfortunately, just used as decoration now. They don't do anything.

You can get anything you want put on ribbons. Our league's president had those made by the trophy shop.

It's imaginable! Although I suspect Marvin's never actually sells anything, they just get packed closer and closer together.

There we go. I'm glad we could get you to squawk a little.

There's a lot of working animatronics at Marvin's, but alas, the birds aren't among them.

The Loser ribbon was commissioned by our league president, when he went to the trophy shop. The owner --- who's helped figuring out just the right trophies for silly things like the Zen Tournaments in the past --- was delighted by this one. And it's the sort of league where that's just the sort of thing all the non-winners can get and nobody feels slighted.

I would wear the LOSER tag with pride. ^_^

Rather nicely dramatic winners photo, too, with that wide perspective. That's the kind of thing I've really enjoyed with the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 - at its widest, it's something like a 140 degree field of view, with a surprisingly small minimum focus distance.

Thoroughly digging [livejournal.com profile] bunny_hugger's jacket in the third shot, too, with the nonchalant angel bunny. ^_^

It's definitely the Chicken Purse of hoodies for all the delighted attention it draws.

No joke, some of the people who won actual trophies --- the lovely curved glass ones --- talked about their envy of the green Loser ribbons. There'll be the chance next season for them, I imagine.

I'm glad you like the winner photos too. I only have a basic consumer camera, but I have learned if I stand at anything but normal eye level I get a decent picture. Also Marvin's is such a packed and crowded place there's little choice but to take a wide-perspective photo if you want to get four people in view at once.
