That's what you saw on your Friends page if you added my mathematics blog there, or saw on your RSS reader. Or you see them now. In any case, now you can go from there to more AnthrOhio Fursuit Parade pictures:

SAM_0136.jpg

Fursuit Parade gathering on the patio outside, where nobody's likely to get drizzled on. Also possibly the best shot I could hope to get of [livejournal.com profile] bunny_hugger in the midst of the crowd.

SAM_0151.jpg

Just a mass of people gathered around the Fursuit Parade group photo. Yeah, raccoon in the background.

SAM_0157.jpg

And a slightly less crowded picture of the crowd for the group photo. Is anyone normal-colored anymore?

SAM_0179.jpg

The famous crane fursuiter! You can see how this could be something that's body-supporting and yet also allow the suiter to completely disappear within it.

SAM_0191.jpg

[livejournal.com profile] bunny_hugger is totally not rubbing her paws while scheming against the people who haven't left the group photo yet.

Trivia: The first definite appearance in the historical record of a maritime chart dates to the 2nd of July, 1270, when King Louis IX of France's expedition for the Eighth Crusade got lost at sea in heavy weather, and the crew provided a map showing they were not far from Cagliari, a town on the coast of Sardinia. Yeah, I've noticed that in more and more photos these days. Everyone needs to make their character suit look absolutely unique. Maybe in a few more years, you'll see more "natural" suits/characters as people figure out that's the way to look unique then.

Mm, along with warnings that their character is copyright them, etc. I don't mind weird and neon hues, but when it becomes just part of "must look unique at all costs", it rather winds up feeling like folk are trying a bit too hard to emphasise some specific patterning rather than what actually makes a character endearing or noteworthy.

(Contrariwise, there was a trio of neon bunnies a few years ago. That was quite a fun idea =:)

I do, truly, like novel colors. ... Heck, I let Patchy or other folks paint me on SpinDizzy or other mucks whenever they feel like. I'm just grinning a bit at how everyone's so interested in novelty that normal ends up being a bit novel. It's kind of the same way that not having any magical powers makes you a rare character.

Well, of course, my dear bride is normal-colored. Sort of. Her exact marking patterns don't seem to happen on any actual rabbit breed, but the evidence does suggest that it could, it just hasn't been bred for.

In my case, orange-red with highlights.
