My Aunt Evelyn has died. This was roughly expected. She's had cancer for several years, and the last few months treatments had been going worse. A couple weeks ago came word that she was leaving treatment and going to hospice. I tried to call her, but failed, but did leave messages on her phone that maybe she even heard. And I sent a card.
My uncle's asked me to be a pall bearer. I'm honored to, of course. This is the first time I've made a short-notice, bereavement-type flight anywhere. And it's got my plans for the next few days scrambled. Please bear with me.

So here's some of last year's trip to Traverse Bay.

At the beach in Suttons Bay, Michigan.

bunny_hugger is not overly impressed.

She's also not so sure about me. Note my summer comic-strip reading in the lower center there.
