Haven't got the time to finish up describing Christmas Day. So let me instead share two blog pieces. First, from my humor blog, What's Going On In Gasoline Alley? Are they making a Gasoline Alley movie? October - December 2021 in plot recapping.
Then, in my mathematics blog, something I meant to post Monday and failed to schedule correctly, 78 Pages and More of Arithmetic Trivia About 2022, all sorts of silly little things you can do with numbers that get you a 2022 out of it. Enjoy! And now back to pictures of Christmas and just how that Yule Log confection turned out.
The cat is unimpressed with all this and doesn't see why it has to be in her kitchen.
bunnyhugger takes to carving the loaf and hoping that it'll melt enough? Somewhat? Something? The recipe gave no hint about how long to leave it so you could cut it open.
And here's the cross-section! Note the pineapple-slice bone running down the center.
Here's how it looks on the plate. As an actual food? It's ... hm. Not as tangy as you'd expect given the high Miracle Whip content. Melts nicely, too, on your tongue, so it's got a pretty soothing mouth feel.
Later, we played another round of Betrayal at the House on the Hill. Here, we pause while figuring out something or other.
A betrayed figure looks up at its tormentor, the smug and confident
bunnyhugger. You may notice in the background a picture of some dolls in the attic looking at the stars. It's the sort of scenario that you might whip up into a Betrayal scenario.
bunnyhugger's father is proud of the picture but also thinks it 'surreal', I guess on the grounds that dolls couldn't really work a telescope and star chart.
