Sorry, way too little time yesterday and today to write more adventures. Barely enough time to share pictures. I found time to answer What's Going On In Judge Parker? Is everyone in Judge Parker stupid? though. You might like that. Meanwhile, back to Cedar Point, in June, and our walk through the now-combined wood carving and candle shop.

More wood sculptures at the combined woodcraft/candle shop. I'm not sure what they're all built for other than to have on display at the woodcraft shop. The figure in back is a scale replica of the one that was on the Schwabinchen ride, decades ago, but what's it for?

Yet figures keep on getting made, including the griffin here that evokes GateKeeper without quite being on point. No idea what that thing on the right is. Maybe a turtle in an early stage? Or a component part, seems more likely.

Wood carvings set up where there used to be more candle-making stuff. I really like the small dragon peering down, the one next to the abstracted swan.

They still have candles, too! Not sure but we got the vibe that this was all old stock, though. It's tempting to get a shiny wax bunny you'll never use.

Quartet of bright frogs in wax here.

And another look at some of those wax figures, including one of a white bunny melting into their own dewlap, which is a big bunny mood.
Trivia: On the 6th of September, 1973, the Johnson Space Center was asked to determine whether the Skylab 4/3 astronauts would require extra ultraviolet eye protection while observing the comet Kahoutek. A study indicated no. Source: Skylab: A Chronology, Roland W Newkirk, Ivan D Ertel, Courtney G Brooks. NASA SP-4011. Kind of feel like they were making work for themselves on this one, but of course, we all know how comet Kahoutek turned out.
