I was going to follow up on the question of whether the Internet is better at narrowing experiences or expanding them, but I don't have much new material to say about it. I'll instead post my absurdly imbalanced CD collection. It divides pretty well into three categories:

Miscellaneous

  1. Due South: The Original Television Soundtrack
  2. My Son, The Greatest: THe Best of Allan Sherman
  3. Shootin' the Agate: Music of Jelly Roll Morton by the Jim Cullum Jazz Band
  4. Space Ghost's Musical Bar-B-Que
  5. The Who's Tommy

Peanuts

  1. Masters of Classical Music Volume 3: Beethoven
  2. Happy Anniversary, Charlie Brown
  3. Vince Guaraldi: The Charlie Brown Sweet and Other Favorites
  4. Vince Guaraldi Trio: A Charlie Brown Christmas
  5. Wynton Marsalis: Joe Cool's Blues

The Beatles

  1. Abbey Road
  2. A Hard Day's Night
  3. Magical Mystery Tour
  4. Please Please Me
  5. Revolver
  6. Sgt. Peppers' Lonely Hearts Club Band
  7. The White Album

Whatever one concludes about my personality from that is probably correct. Also on the list should be ``Something like this...'': the Bob Newhart Anthology.

Trivia: In the immediate aftermath of the murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and the diplomatic turmoil in central Europe, German Kaiser Wilhem II went on holiday for three weeks. Source: The First World War, John Keegan.
