I'd been reading this while eating, and an elderly couple apologized to me, as they left, for their conversation possibly distracting me. (It hadn't.) They said they'd let me get back to my studying. I started to say I wasn't studying, but then reflected, why was I reading a dusty, 40-year-old book about Napoleon's attempt to get Spain to accept his brother as their monarch and how it went all wrong? That's the sort of thing that will distract you for the rest of the McRib.
